1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the BookUsNerds website or services in the United States, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. You also agree to follow them.
If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
2. Independent Service Provider Clause
BookUsNerds is an independent technical consultancy and support provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to any device manufacturer, software publisher, or third-party brand.
Any third-party brand names, product names, trademarks, or logos that may appear on this site are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for descriptive purposes to indicate the categories of devices our specialists support. Their appearance does not imply any partnership, authorization, or relationship between BookUsNerds and the trademark owner.
If you are seeking the manufacturer’s own support, please contact that manufacturer directly through their official website.
3. Services Provided
BookUsNerds provides independent technical support and consulting services for:
- Printers & scanners
- Routers & networking equipment
- Smart home devices
- Computer troubleshooting
- Software installation & setup
- Device configuration
- Wireless connectivity issues
- General technical assistance
All services are provided on-site or through guided phone assistance, or via third-party field specialist coordination where applicable. BookUsNerds does not use remote-access software.
4. Service Execution & Limitations
By using our services, you agree to the following:
Consultative Guidance. Most support is delivered by phone, with the customer following the specialist’s verbal instructions. We help with troubleshooting, setup, and optimization.
No Remote Access. BookUsNerds will never request, install, or use remote-access software (e.g. screen-sharing, remote desktop, or unattended access tools) to control your device. All support is delivered on-site or by phone with you in control of the device at all times.
Third-Party Specialist Dispatch. If on-site help is needed, we may coordinate it through an independent field service provider. These specialists are not direct employees of BookUsNerds.
5. Payments & Billing
- All pricing and service charges are disclosed prior to the commencement of any service.
- Payments may be collected before, during, or immediately after the support session depending on the selected service plan.
- Diagnostic fees, consultation fees, and dispatch charges may apply.
- BookUsNerds reserves the right to modify pricing, promotions, or service availability at any time without prior notice.
6. Refunds
BookUsNerds stands behind its support work with a “No-Fix, No-Fee” commitment and a 7-day service guarantee, as described in full in our Refund Policy. The Refund Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference and controls in the event of any conflict with this section.
In summary:
- If our specialists are unable to identify the issue, provide troubleshooting guidance, or deliver a workable configuration solution for your device problem, you may qualify for a full or partial refund of the service fee.
- If the same issue recurs within 7 days of the original session, you may request a complimentary follow-up session at no additional charge.
- Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
Non-Refundable Dispatch Condition. If an on-site specialist has already been dispatched and arrives at the customer’s location, dispatch and travel fees become non-refundable, regardless of the final outcome of the service request. Other non-refundable situations are listed in the Refund Policy.
7. SMS Messaging Terms
When you submit a contact, callback, or appointment form on our site, you agree to receive SMS messages from BookUsNerds. These messages cover service-related items, such as:
- Appointment confirmations
- Specialist dispatch notifications
- Support updates
- Callback reminders
- Service ticket communications
Nature of Messages. All SMS communications are strictly transactional and operational in nature. We do not send promotional or marketing text messages without separate consent.
Message Frequency. Message frequency varies depending on your active support requests and interactions.
Charges. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. BookUsNerds is not responsible for carrier-related charges.
Opt-Out. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message received from us.
Help. For assistance, reply HELP to any SMS message or contact our support team directly.
Privacy Protection. Your phone number and SMS opt-in data will never be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Supported Carriers. SMS service is available through all major U.S. carriers. BookUsNerds is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages caused by carrier network issues or device settings.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BookUsNerds and its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, partners, and agents shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the services, including (but not limited to) loss of data, lost profits, business interruption, internet downtime, software incompatibility, or device malfunction not directly caused by our work.
Our aggregate liability for any direct damages arising out of or related to a particular service engagement shall not exceed the fees actually paid by you to BookUsNerds for that engagement.
Carve-outs. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- gross negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct by BookUsNerds or its personnel;
- personal injury or property damage caused by our negligence;
- any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under California law or other applicable consumer-protection statutes (including the California Consumer Legal Remedies Act and the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act).
If any portion of this section is held unenforceable under the law of your jurisdiction, that portion shall be enforced only to the maximum extent permitted, and the remainder shall remain in effect.
Except as expressly stated in our Refund Policy or required by applicable law, services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.
9. No Warranty
BookUsNerds does not guarantee that every technical issue can be completely resolved. Resolution success may depend on factors including:
- Device condition
- Manufacturer restrictions
- Hardware limitations
- Internet connectivity
- Third-party software compatibility
- Operating system limitations
- Availability of replacement parts or external services
10. Intellectual Property Rights
All content on the BookUsNerds website is the property of BookUsNerds. This includes:
- Text and graphics
- Logos and icons
- Layouts and design elements
- Service descriptions
This content is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute it without permission.

14. Governing Law, Venue & Dispute Resolution
Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Venue. You and BookUsNerds agree that the exclusive venue for any dispute, claim, or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall be the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California, and both parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. This venue selection does not deprive consumers of any non-waivable rights under the law of the state in which they reside.
No Mandatory Arbitration. BookUsNerds does not require customers to resolve disputes through binding arbitration, and there is no class-action waiver. You retain the right to bring an individual claim in small claims court for any matter within that court’s jurisdiction and the right to file a complaint with any applicable government agency (including the California Department of Consumer Affairs).
Informal Resolution. Before filing a formal claim, we encourage you to contact us at support@bookusnerds.com so we can attempt to resolve the issue directly.
15. Changes to These Terms
BookUsNerds reserves the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the website after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
